Image colours may vary from actual fabric colours, with certain colours (such as reds) being particularly difficult to reproduce. This is due to the limitations in camera and screen resolutions. Attempts are made to capture and present the true likeness of each item. There are larger images available, and also a zoom option, for most images to give you a better idea of the design and colour. Please use the images on this shop as a guide, not to colour match as differences may occur.

Purchasing goods is easy. Browse through the website, when you see something you like add this to your basket and when you have finished shopping click on ‘checkout’ to complete your order.

Payment options

PayPal is used to process all orders, therefore The Peacock Lotus does not hold or store any personal details related to your credit/debit cards. You do not need to have a Paypal account to make payments, you will also be given the option to pay by credit/debit card at checkout. All prices are shown in GBP sterling. If you are shopping from outside the UK or using a card that is not a UK bank card, your bank may and will charge the necessary transaction conversion fees to your own currency in order to complete your purchase.

Ready-made (shop) orders

Ready-made orders are usually processed and dispatched within five working days. If you have made a mistake in your order please get in touch within 24 hours of placing your order. Where possible I will correct the mistake and notify you of this. If the order has already been dispatched then please refer to the ‘Returns Policy’ tab if required.

UK delivery (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) is free of charge for purchases over £50 before postage and packing costs. I will use a courier, e.g. Hermes, for delivering boxed parcels such as quilts and cushions. For smaller items or letter-sized items, Royal Mail will be used. Standard delivery rates are used and automatically applied at Checkout. Prices are based on Royal Mail charges at the time – The Peacock Lotus does not profit from the delivery charge.

Postage for orders overseas will be charged by Royal Mail international tracking charges. Please contact me for a delivery quote before ordering. If you are ordering from outside the UK your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency at the time the order is processed and the exchange rate will be shown on your credit card statement.

Ready-made items such as quilts are priced according to a number of factors including the time taken to make the item, the fabric used, and the complexity of the design (which can add to the time taken to make it). This means that two quilts of the same size can be priced differently depending on these factors.

Commissioned pieces will also be priced based on these factors and any others that may impact the final cost of the product. Bespoke commission quotes will always be provided before commissions are confirmed by the customer so you are aware of the final cost.

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your product then please contact me within 14 calendar days of delivery. I will always try to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

If you would like to return an item then, again, please contact me within 14 calendar days of delivery stating the reason for the return. Dispatch the item(s) back to me within 30 days of delivery. All refunds will be processed once the item has been received and inspected by myself, and I will provide you with a refund reference number. The cost of returning an item is the responsibility of the customer and we recommend you gain proof of postage and send it by recorded delivery. The item must be in its original packaging and fit for resale.

If you are returning a damaged item please take photos of the damage and send this to me when you initially contact me.

Because of the nature of this item, PDF file downloads cannot be refunded.

Commission orders

If you have made a mistake on your bespoke commission or ‘Remember when…’ memory quilt/cushion order please contact me within 24 hours of payment and we can work together to amend any changes where possible. Your returned confirmation form is your approval to proceed with the bespoke item you have purchased. Changes or cancellations to bespoke orders cannot be made once I have started making the item following confirmation.

Cancelling an order

The Peacock Lotus reserves the right to cancel the contract between ‘buyer and seller’ if:

  • I have been notified of issues in processing your payment
  • there is no delivery to your area
  • one or more of the items you ordered was incorrectly priced

If your order has been cancelled by The Peacock Lotus you will be notified by e-mail and you will receive a refund of any sums deducted from your credit/debit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.

Bespoke commissioned products and ‘Remember when…’ memory quilts and cushions in accordance with the law are non-refundable and exempt from the right to cancel. This does not affect your statutory rights. Should you wish to have a replacement please let me know and we can discuss this in order to find an agreeable alternative.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.
